TEMPLE BUILDING

The Creative Universe Project pays special attention to the restoration and construction of Orthodox temples. Churches and Orthodox shrines are being built and restored in Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Bulgaria and Cyprus. Largely thanks to the support and efforts of the Foundation in Saint Petersburg, the buildings of the Ioannovsky Convent on Karpovka were restored, the Church of St. George the Victorious, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and the Church in the name of St. Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg were erected. According to ancient, miraculously saved drawings and photographs, the Temple of the Nativity on the Sands destroyed in 1934 was recreated from scratch.

Temple in honour of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called and All the Saints shone in the Russian land, Cyprus

The twin church of the Saviour on Kamenka built in Cyprus specifically for the large Russian-speaking community. Its construction began in 2015 and already in 2017 the temple was consecrated. The church was built in Russian style and decorated with onion domes which are not typical for Cyprus. Worships in the temple are performed in Church Slavonic. The temple has become a bright landmark of Cyprus and a place of attraction for pilgrims from all over the world.

The International Festival for Greek and Slavic Arts “CypRus” is held annually on the territory of the temple. Soon, a planetarium and exhibition space will appear next to the church.
