The mission of the Foundation's projects related to the perpetuation of the historical heritage of Russia in sculptural compositions is to preserve for future generations the memory of the outstanding achievements of the predecessors which the country is proud of.
The monument was erected in the village of Lisiy Nos, on the central square. It was unveiled on May 8, 2015.

The monument is dedicated to the little-known, but no less significant Little Road of Life and the feat of the inhabitants of Leningrad, Lisiy Nos, Gorskaya, Kronstadt and Oranienbaum. The Little Road of Life is a whole system of roads that performed the same functions as the Road of Life, passing along the frozen Lake Ladoga, it operated since November 1941 until the complete liberation of Leningrad on January 27, 1944.

The monument depicts a warrior holding a burning lantern in his hand - a symbol of life in the blockade city. There are bags with grain at the soldier's feet rescued from a car that was going under the ice. Behind the monument there are four granite stelae with bas-reliefs depicting the events of the Great War recreated in the memory of the sculptor.
