Elena Bazanova

She was born on November 16, 1968 in Slantsy, Leningrad region.
In 1986 she graduated from the Leningrad Art School named after B.V.Johansson at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin.
In 1992 she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin (A.A.Pakhomov’s studio of book graphics).
Since 1995 – a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Since 1996 illustrates the publications for children.
Since 2006 – a member of the Society of St. Petersburg watercolors.
Scholarship holder of Arts Center in Klyaynzassene (Germany) in 2002, 2004 and 2005.
In 1999 received the prize (Public-Prize) at the I International Biennial of contemporary watercolor (Germany).
In 2000 she received the diploma of the second power from the Board of St. Petersburg Union of Artists.
In 2001 - received the prize (Public-Prize) at the II International Biennale of contemporary watercolor (Germany).
In 2001 - received Landrat prize of district Fulda at the II International Biennale of contemporary watercolor (Germany).
In 2008 she won the Grand Prix named after academician Benjamin Khudoley at the IV International Biennial of Graphic Art in St. Petersburg for her illustrations for L.Carroll's book "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, told for young readers by the author."
Member of many Russian and international exhibitions.
Her works are exhibited in galleries and private collections in Russia, Germany, USA, France, England, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Samara Regional Art Museum.
