Exhibition of Paintings “WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF RUSSIAN ARTISTS”

On December 19, 2014 the Stables Building of Yelagin Palace Museum (St. Petersburg, Yelagin Island, 4) held a formal opening of the exhibition of paintings “World through the Eyes of Russian Artists”.

The paintings displayed at the exhibition are dedicated to Cyprus, Bulgaria, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Switzerland and Italy – seven countries, which have been visited by St. Petersburg artists – participants of Viacheslav Zarenkov’s project “Creative World”.

Thirty painters from St. Petersburg for three years travelled about European countries, studied their history, culture and traditions, made acquaintances with different people.

In their canvases the artists not only captured nature and architectural sights of the capitals but also tranquil back streets of suburbs. From every trip the painters brought home more than 100 canvases, the best of which are displayed at the exhibition, which has been opened.
